Designed around movement, comfort and exquisite materials. Our Leather Dog Harness is handcrafted from buttery-soft Italian leather and finished with solid brass equestrian hardware. A step-in style dog harness that brings the refinement of traditional leatherwork to a piece designed for everyday wear.

The step-in style makes dressing beautifully simple: paws in, buckle up, and you’re ready to walk. With nothing needing to be pulled over the head, it’s also an especially thoughtful design for dogs who experience anxiety or simply prefer a gentler dressing routine.

Across the front, the chest strap has been carefully positioned to allow full range of motion through the shoulders, without restricting your dog’s natural stride. It sits low enough across the chest to avoid any pressure against the neck and trachea. 

For added versatility, the Harness offers both a traditional back clip and a front clip, allowing you to choose the walking style that works best for you and your dog. Clip at the back for an easy, traditional walk, or use the front clip for anti-pull and front-walk training. For dogs who tend to pull heavily, clipping at the chest provides gentle redirection. 

And then, there’s the leather. Exceptionally buttery-soft Italian leather gives the Harness a plush, smooth feel against the body. Supple leather prevents rubbing and chafing, making it a beautiful choice for sensitive skin, while the smooth leather surface ensures long hair doesn't tangle. 

Our solid brass hardware takes its cues from the equestrian world, where leather and brass have been paired for generations for their strength, longevity and ability to age beautifully. Substantial without feeling heavy, each piece will slowly develop a natural patina alongside the leather, becoming richer and more individual with wear.

Every Leather Dog Harness is handmade in Canada, one at a time, in our studio. Each piece is cut, stitched, assembled and finished individually to order. Please allow up to three weeks for handcrafting before your piece is ready to ship. Good things take time.

As with all exceptional natural materials, no two hides are quite the same. Subtle variations in grain, tone and texture, along with occasional character marks, are part of the beauty of genuine Italian leather. Combined with the nuances of individual handcrafting, these natural distinctions ensure that no two pieces will ever be completely identical.
